The commercial escalator and moving walkway series is engineered for high-traffic retail settings. Advanced drive technology and integrated control systems support throughput of 8,000 to 10,000 people per hour while maintaining stable operation, according to the specifications.

Design features include noise reduction that keeps operating sound below 50 dB, intelligent load sensors that adjust speed based on passenger flow and a safety bus architecture that simplifies wiring. The systems also offer stainless steel handrails, tempered glass side panels and energy-efficient LED lighting to match different architectural styles.

Specifications at a glance

Two product types are available: escalators and moving walkways. The escalators are offered at 30- or 35-degree inclinations, with step widths of 600, 800 or 1,000 mm and a maximum rise of 13 meters. Moving walkways use 10- or 12-degree inclinations, a 1,000 mm pallet width and a maximum rise of 7 meters.

Safety systems and standards

Safety is treated as a core requirement rather than an add-on. The products are designed to comply with the EN 115 industry standard and incorporate multiple redundant safeguards.

Those safeguards include high-sensitivity obstacle detection at the comb plate, multiple emergency stop buttons, step-edge lighting for visual guidance and skirt brushes intended to prevent foreign objects from being drawn into the mechanism.

Installation and maintenance considerations

Installation planning must account for structural support and the maximum rise of 13 meters. In atriums with skylights, ultraviolet-resistant handrails are recommended to extend equipment service life.

Long-term maintenance can be supported by forged step chains, lubricant-free gearboxes and built-in fault diagnosis. These features are intended to enable preventive maintenance, reduce downtime and lower operating costs.
